Landslide & Flash Floods in Miri

Flash floods in Miri.
Elsewhere in Miri, flash flood are reported at Kampung Padang Kerbau, Permyjaya housing areas, and, from the photo below, our main monsoon drain along the Miri-Pujut Road is almost full. Some parts of Piasau Jaya have their drain at alarming level. If the rain do not stop, it will be another flash flood at Piasau Jaya.

Landslide in Miri
Kampung Lereng Bukit
30th Jan 2009: Today at around 1:05PM, another landslide at Kampong Lereng Bukit. This was the result of heavy rainfall every night since Christmas. According to Bernama news, the landslide occurred at 10am and another at around noon.

Sik lamak lagik, tanah tok memang benar-benar kenak cangkol. Pandei nar urang lamak dolok membuat molah nama gelaran untuk tempat tok. Digelarnya Changkul Plant dari Charcoal Plant. Daknya memang udah ada planning satu masa kelak kawasan tok perlu diccngkul???
